Standing in the shadows of the Fisher Building.

New Center is home to several of Detroit’s architectural jewels and a showcase for architect Albert Kahn’s finest buildings. Music fans flock to the Motown Historical Museum (a.k.a. Hitsville U.S.A.), a world-famous destination filled with rare photographs, gold records, costumes and memorabilia.

The Art Deco Fisher Building houses the Fisher Theatre, featuring traveling Broadway productions. The Fisher Building also offers a rich mix of shopping--from long-time neighborhood standbys to new independent merchants. A redesigned New Center Park will make its debut this summer with a new performance stage and a glass-enclosed conservatory.

Dining hotspots in New Center include Cuisine Restaurant, serving French dishes in a chic Victorian home. For nightlife, visit Northern Lights Lounge for live music, shuffleboard and an eclectic crowd of young and old.
